Emergency Key Holder

As the 9-1-1 Dispatch Center for all areas of Stephenson County outside the corporate limits of the City of Freeport, the Stephenson County Sheriff’s Office maintains an Emergency Key Holder File to quickly contact the appropriate people during security issues, fires, medical emergencies, or natural disasters.

Providing this information helps our deputies serve and protect your business more effectively. All data is securely stored in Sheriff’s Office files and is never distributed or sold.

Optional but Recommended:

• Floor Plans: Submitting floor plans of your business can greatly assist first responders during emergencies. If available, we can add them to our 911 mapping software.
• Alarm Zones: Marking your alarm zones on the floor plans will help officers respond more quickly and accurately.

Important Reminder:
If you have an alarm system, please make sure your emergency contacts are kept up to date both with your alarm company and with the Sheriff’s Office. Our office will only cancel a response to an alarm if we are notified to do so by your alarm company.

If you own or manage multiple properties within our jurisdiction, please complete a separate form for each address.
