Heather Becker

Heather Becker joined the Stephenson County Sheriff’s Office on November 3, 2021, after having been a Stephenson County Clerk Deputy and Election Official for 9-years.

Heather’s responsibilities to the Sheriff include; assisting in the daily operation of the courthouse, accounts payable, payroll, maintaining budgetary line items, authorizing expenditures when needed, completing paperwork for new hires, maintaining employee files, and other working duties as assigned by the Sheriff.

In addition to her work at the Sheriff’s Office, Heather Becker serves as the President of the Freeport Community Public School Fund; a non-profit, 501(c) 3 foundation which raises money to help purchase needed equipment and books for schools within Freeport School District #145.
